On September 10, 2004 a presentation of Chief of the Central Department of Investment Policy and Foreign Economic Relations of the City Council took place.

Attending the presentation was the city mayor as well as City Council representatives and Department Chiefs, Crimea Goods and Industry Chamber representatives, public organization representatives and mass media outlets from Evpatoria and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Evpatoria Mayor Danilenko provided the introductory remarks. He noted that creating a single coordinating body for attracting investments has been needed for some time as up to now the city authorities have had an inadequate system for working with investors. Functions for conducting investment policy were scattered among many departments, resulting in the ineffective exploitation of current possibilities. The task of the Central Department of Investment Policy and Foreign Economic Relations of the City Council is to systematize the job of attracting investment to the city, prepare documents for carrying-out investment projects, develop foreign economic activity and cooperate with public organizations.

In his statement Department Chief Kugel presented the general job results for the Central Department of Investment Policy and Foreign Economic Relations of the City Council during the previous period and discussed future prospects of investment activity development in Evpatoria.
